Module Two: Leadership. L. Everley

When I think of myself as a leader, I fall short in confidence. I am more likely to be a delegate to other rather than taking over. I don't mind working in a group setting. I do however, feel that I am not sure of myself working alone to complete a large task.

Leadership Assessment Results

My leadership score was a 61. I scored the highest in two areas the first was emotional intelligence, being able to place people as to what their talents are. The tied for second I scored the same in the area of motivating people to deliver a vision, convincing others to work together to achieve a common goal.

Collaborative Assessment Results

Assessing the Environment- 60
Creating Clarity- 53
Building Trust- 75
Sharing Power and Influence- 71
Developing People- 74
Self Reflection- 64

My highest scored areas on the collaborative assessment where in building trust and sharing power and influence. This is also shown in the leadership assessment. I don't mind sharing the glory and delegating to others when it comes to completing a task. My lowest score was creating clarity. My next lowest score was self reflection. These scores rang true based on how I feel about being a leader.

My skills include building trust, sharing power and influence, and developing people. The leadership style that is my strength is shared Vision, I feel that sharing the vision of those I am working with is one of my strengths. I aspire to be a leader that has more confidence in making decisions on my own and not afraid to make mistakes.
