Technology Integration Initiative-Assessing technology needs

Share at least one strategy you will use/are using to assess the technology needs of your context (how will you document needs, what kind of data will you use, etc.). Being a business education teacher most of my classes will require frequent use of technology. Many classes such as keyboarding, computers, accounting and others can be taught using computer software. Determining what technology I would need for a certain class would depend on a variety of things such as; what class I am teaching?, what software and hardware or other technology is needed for that class?, who and how many will be taking the class?, what needs do these students have?, what does the curriculum require?, what type of instruction is required?, what type of funding is required?, am I qualified to teach using the desired technology?, is this type of technology used in the real world?, etc. Most of the data needed to answer these questions would come from school enrollment and the curriculum pathways it would just have to be analyzed for the appropriate data. Additional information would require research into the different technologies available for different classes and what will be actually worth learning to use.
